一、课程说明(Course Description)

  该课程是为了给学员们提供对国际企业管理更广泛的认识而设计。这门课程将会涵盖国际企业管理的领域和范式、贸易和外国直接投资理论、国际交易的框架、国际企业活动的动机和壁垒、跨国公司战略和市场进入战略,以及国际生产选址、营销、技术转移,财务、人力资源管理,等等。一些很重要的方面,例如转移价格、国际员工培训、社会责任、环境污染,本地化和法律事务也将会涉及和演示。

  基于理论的远景和应用,相当一部分的注意力正集中于国际化的快速发展和全球化竞争压力,这将引领国际企业为了世界范围的分销,努力使其产品和服务规范化,同时建立相应的管理体系来响应快速变化的环境。

  This course designed to provide students with a broad understanding and appreciation of the field of International Business Management. The course will cover the fields and patterns of international business management, the theories of trade and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), the international frameworks for international transactions, the major motives and barriers of international business activities, the multinational corporations’ strategies and market entry strategies, as well as international production location, marketing, technology transfers, financial, human resource management, etc. Some important aspects such as transfer pricing, international staff development, social responsibility, environmental protection, localization and legal affairs will also be mentioned and demonstrated.

  From the perspectives of theory and application, considerable attention is now being devoted to the rapidly development of globalization and global competitive pressures, which have led to International Businesses striving to standardize their products and service for worldwide distribution, and to establish adaptive management .in response to the fast-change environment.

二、学习目标(Learning objectives of the course)

 1.It provides students with a general understanding of the role of international business and how a company to manage its international business. To acquaint students with theories concerning international business.

  该课程为学员提供国际企业所扮演的角色的简要理解,以及一家公司如何管理它的国际经营。使得学员熟悉国际企业的相关理论

 2.To give students an framework of understanding MNCs’ entry strategies and business strategies.

  提供给学员一个理解跨国公司进入战略和经营战略的框架

 3.Some special issues will be emphasized.

  着重强调一些专业刊物

 4.After completing the course, students are expected to have a better understanding of businesses’ internationalization and globalization. Students would also have a basic understanding of how Chinese enterprises’ to do businesses and make investment in foreign countries.

  在完成该课程之后,学员应该对经营国际化和全球化有进一步的理解,还应该对中国企业如何在国外市场上经营、投资有基本的了解。

三、课程的理论体系与架构(System and Structure)

  教学内容注重基础性与前沿性、教学与科研、教学与应用高等整合。

  本课程主要包括五个部分:

  (1)导论,介绍跨国公司的经营;

  (2)全面介绍和分析国际贸易理论、对外直接投资理论(FDI);

  (3)结合国际企业的实践和典型案例,系统分析国际市场的进入模式和基本的应对策略,充分认识各种策略的利得和缺陷;

  (4)系统介绍和分析国际企业的全球资源配置战略、竞争战略、营销战略和国际人力资本开发战略,并结合波特的国家竞争优势理论、价值链理论和其他相关理论,认识国际企业的生产布局、营销、技术转让与开发、财务等;

  (5)结合跨国公司国际化经营的经验和中国企业的国际化的实践探索,分析说明入世后中国企业实施跨国经营战略的主要障碍和应当采取的基本路径。

  在课程的前沿性和时代性建设方面,本课程逐步将理论研究与课堂教学结合起来,集中体现在以下几个方面:国际企业的股权结构、内部转移定价、本地化、跨文化管理和与贸易、投资相关的法律事务等,而且还着手研究和探讨发展中国家对 WTO规则的承诺和遵守承诺的利得与代价。

四、教学方法(Teaching Philosophy)

  教学是一种富有价值的活动。所谓价值,通常有很宽泛的定义。在我看来,它并不是由知识传递本身来衡量的,而是学员最终获得的洞察力和创造力。不管是面对企业管理的新人,还是成功的实践者或者高级的商科专业人士,教学都是我的热情之所在。

  Teaching is a value-laden activities . This value, usually leaves a wide latitude for possible definitions. In my understanding, it is not measured by the knowledge conveyed per se, but the insights and creativity that the students gained eventually. Teaching is my passion, whether it would be lecturing to freshmen in business administration, or successful practitioners, or senior business majors.

五、学习方法(The learning Model)

  掌握正确的学习方法可以最大限度的提高学习效率,强化课程教学效率,因此,本课程从理论上、组织上、方法上进行了具体的细分,希望最大限度地把课堂教学、团队学习、自我学习和实践调研结合起来。
